It does not matter where they got the idea but the thing is, they were able to do make something as great as this. I never knew that we can do this. The animation is superb! Let us do something more of this kind. Kudos to all who are behind this great movie!!!!

I’m a video editor and I’m just so impressed at the special effects used in the movie. Based on the trailer, RIOT really did a good job with the 3D graphics. I actually thought that it was made by a foreign country. I would surely check out this film, as well as the other entries. Although the movie has a resemblance with hollywood flicks, I think that it should be given a chance. The movie is about recycling stuff, I guess, and this might help our country in its own little way, to lessen its waste.

This thread fully expresses why we Filipinos and the Philippines in general can’t move forward. It’s because some Filipinos like Jessrocked, Vince, and Vanessa think that as long as its Filipino, it can’t be good.

They simply don’t realize that they are the reasons why the local film industry is having such a hard time in improving and reinventing itself. They’d rather go watch a ho-hum hollywood movie than patronize a local film.

So now, I challenge anyone out there, especially Jessrocked, Vince, and Vanessa, to produce this type of a film with this quality (at least from I’ve seen so far), amount of CGI, and Dolby 7.1 surround (from what I’ve heard) with a budget of let’s say less than 3 million dollars. Any takers?

Raptor / December 12th, 2007, 10:58 pm / #

A basta!

Rock on!

One step at a time, at sa tingin namin masmaganda siguro susunod niyong film!!

Congrats!

There is no such thing as an original design. Everything is recycled.

Oh, C’mon…you just can’t compare this to foreign films. Let’s consider the Budget and Time frame on this compared to Hollywood. We Could CRITIQUE PERO WAG NAMAN NINYO LAIT LAITIN ANG KAPWA NATIN PILIPINO. Mahiya naman kayu, sobra na yan.

Basta Sa IMUS, go lang ng go and medyo pakinggan nyu rin yung good comments and see to it saan ang weakness and strenght ng production ninyo para next time Maimprove pa lalo.

This is a good sign that we are now venturing to films like this. Congrats to the team!

Hey it’s a first step! We can get it better the next time, and based on the trailer it’s nice. What’s wrong with using sumthin tried and tested?

Gahenus / December 16th, 2007, 11:19 pm / #

Kahit ano pa sabihin ng iba… either positive or negative criticism… i can really say na…. RESIKLO is something that will be worth the wait for robot fanatics or mech fanatics like me. Kaso nga lang…. i hope maganda ang maging over-all composition ng movie… madalas kasi… sobrang ganda ng visuals pero panget ang story or plot. Hopefully, this movie would not be as such….

P.S.

RAPTOR…. i might take the challenge. :)

Abu Chikek / December 19th, 2007, 10:30 pm / #

I applaud you Abu Chikek. I’m going to be the first one to line-up to see your film.

It’s nice that this thread is provoking the creative juices of Filipinos that will hopefully alleviate our film industry.

You’re actually right. Although the technicals and visuals of the film that eat-up over 90% of a film’s budget may be eye-candy, the story and plot is quite indispensable.

I just hope that what we are doing is constructive so that one day, we can see commercial filipino films in the mainstream global film community. :)

Raptor / December 20th, 2007, 3:07 pm / #

kagaya nina Eddie Garcia at Edu Manzano.

Pero in the end, it’s a massive improvement on the quality of CGI.

Gen. Relah T. Vitee / December 20th, 2007, 8:02 pm / #

Oh yeah. Nakalimutan kong sabihin…

It’s not really about the originality of the design or the theme of the film. It’s all about the technical capabilities. And I’m very sure may ibang outfits dito sa pinas na makakagawa ng ganito o mas maganda pa, even sa underground scene.

Ganun lang talaga, you cannot please everyone. For every situation laging may kontra. But one thing’s for sure…this film will make many Filipinos proud.

I LOVE IT!

My first time to convinced myself to actually watch(on big screen) a Filipino-made film featuring 3D and Visual effects. By the way, I’m a 3D artist/video editor as well(now concentrates more on graphics and web works)… when I first saw the trailer, I said to my self… FINALLY! (IMHO) A Filipino 3D-movie worth watching =) No offense to previous efforts(using mediocre lights/particles effects) on Filipino-made movies… So far RESIKLO is the best of its kind here in the Philippines. Keep up the good works fellow Filipinos! Yes, we can do it =) One-step at a time. And let’s improve on some weaknesses… Some of the scenes are too dark and those heavy-weight robots lack realistic environment interactions (e.g. footprints) …Oh yes maybe because of time-constraint, but I’m sure we can do better next-time =) And hopefully some group of passionate people here in the Philippines will invest a longer-time and most probably bigger-budget for a real world-class 3D/visual effects on Filipino-made movie soon. Time will come that Filipinos will be able to release “Transformers” 3D/effects-level and “Matrix” dynamics-level movies. I am proud to say that Filipino actors/actresses are world-class… and maybe in the near future we would have the right people in place for the 3D/Visual effects team. I KNOW hindi tayo nahuhuli and we have great Filpino talents here and abroad (just waiting to be given a chance like Manny Pacquiao)… Yes! believe me =) I know people in the industry at dyan sa tabi-tabi hehehe.

Again… CONGRATULATIONS to the whole RESIKLO team!!! I hope to see more soon =)

It’s a great leap ang pinoy sa 3D animation tulad nito…

nash88 / December 27th, 2007, 12:44 pm / #

Resiklo (Recycle)

This is the time i think i should be saying I’m not a Filipino i absolutely would not recommend this big mouthed recycled movie!!! at the start till the end they were obviously trying to copy the ideas of The Transformers from the revolving arm to the meteor supposedly hitting the planet. Resiklo (recycle) is ironic on the title, and I’m sure, when any of the International critics watch this movie, they will surely laugh at it declaring us once again, the Filipinos, to be scavengers of other productions success. the Robots on the movie in the first place looks like recycled Parts from the remains of the Transformer robots they hardly even rotate their arms!!! the walking is too slow, as if 10 frames/second or LESS!!!

they should have just been humble on the first place not declaring in the public that they can compete with international movies. This movie should not be in my own words appear in the MMFF for disciplinary action of wrong publicity and advertisement.
Transformers were not even boastful of their effects and advertisement, i actually found their trailer not interesting, because i wasn’t even a Transformers fan at all, but after seeing the movie due to Friend’s Urge, i even cant handle the fact that I’m in the real world without robots, i even made jokes with my friends saying that “a pedicab might transform so be careful.” that’s how that movie influenced me for sometime, making me watch it 3 times in the cinema before i stopped watching and get over it.

But this Resiklo, i felt Ill on my sit & i want to walk out if i just don’t have someone with me who might call me “KJ” so i still watched half my eye open. pretending to be watching. i really felt the pain of paying 130PHP for this movie and i just hope i waited a while to watch it in Youtube for free because i will not continue watching it at all.Oh, no!!! i think i should say they should have paid me for watching this disgusting movie on the first place. However, this review i think is enough to announce to people not to patronize IMUS PRODUCTIONS produced movies or the 2nd RESIKLO if there may. now i understand why people want Pirated DVDs/VCDs its because its really not worth the money. and Oh!!! in case i just knew resiklo has been this devastating, i wouldn’t even bother Buying a Pirated Copy of this!!!

Enough of those Effects, lets go to the storyline and meaning of the Title: Resiklo. Resiklo as mentioned above is a pinoy term for Recycle and i congratulate them for bringing it to my vocabulary for i don’t know this word, but is 130PHP worth that Definition? if i only knew, i will be paying so high for this, i should have asked my friends first of the definition so that i wouldn’t be watching this movie sayang 130Php, it really hurt my pocket.

the story i cant remember because it was so un interesting im half awake. but i remembered one thing, this movie is so Pro-Revilla its no doubt that they were advertising for the Revilla brothers, for god sake i can only see bong and his 2 son in this movie.

Advertisements are supposed to be made in TV commercials and in cinemas but not while the movie is running!!! it seems they were lacking the fundamentals and ethics in movie making and media. the deed to be not biased be fair to all party. i just felt watching an advertisement of revilla father and sons Inc., and they should pay me for watching their advertisement.

Tomorrow and the Days to come, i will watch more movies, made by Filipinos for the Filipinos and watch-out for my coming comments. have a nice day!!!

MUVIMAN / December 29th, 2007, 12:28 am / #

For those Supporters saying ATLEAST…..

Please, if we don’t criticize them, and always cover their Lack of inspirations on making movies with the word “Atleast”, they will never learn how to strive!!! we will never Rise, our industry will only attain that “atleast”.

“Atleast” is a word for employees, for peasants, its a word coming from their least inspired mind because they know they can never afford to improve unless they become rich, but the rich’s idea is not “atleast”

“Must” is a Master’s word, it is the Rich’s inspiration making the rich more richer making things improve more and more ,day by day. the most hideous word that a rich person may say is “for the meantime” which is a group of word promising more and more renovation of success.

and whats the connection?

those people, involved in the making of this movie might be reading these comments and those words you say “atleast” does make them calm all the way making the fire of their burning spirit to strive be dumped with cold soil of contentment. and when do you think will we ascend if we are contented with “atleast”?

Pick your words carefully…
Choose what you say….
Analize your Comment…
our words influence a lot of people around….

MUVIMAN: dont blame the critics for commenting negative because they are the ones supposedly be consulted by the makers, thats why we don’t ascend, because the industry itself doesn’t take risks, they make it quick, they take no time, all they want is to earn money, the most unacceptable thing is they have been comparing this movie with the international ones which is very not comparable. they should have compared this with panday and other old Filipino movies then you will absolutely see my two thumbs UP!!! and to others, dont pretend to be a normal person here and defend your Junky Movie, i know you may probably one of the makers here or artists, just learn from your mistakes, that’s all, enough of your prides… all my colleagues are turning your movies down which means YOU MUST IMPROVE

MUVIMAN / December 29th, 2007, 1:09 am / #

MUVIMAN-MUVIMAN-MUVIMAN,
It seems there is no satisfying you. I am quite sure you are one of those people who watch “FORMULA” movies like the director who did this film(RESIKLO) looking for boxed and predictable sequences like what we see in STARWARS, TRANSFORMERS,BEOWOLF, DIEHARD and what ever HOLLYWOOD epic films you can predictably think of. I am quite sure you are one who would get bored in films like “LADY IN THE WATER”. Or probably question why Steven Spielberg did not include the GREAT BATTLE between the armies of the world and the aliens in his film, WAR OF THE WORLDS. You would probably brag that you’ve watched all the Akira Kurusawa Films and swear you can explain his vision through Joseph Campbel’s wisdom.

All I can read in your words are hatred and frustration towards the whole Imus Production. Has it ever entered your mind that the makers of th had no choice but to follow the people who produced the film. Has it ever entered your mind that the film is still after all a product of sleepless nights and sweat and sacrifice by both aspiring and struggling artist who are trying to make a living in this third word. Yes, we are constantly DEMANDING a FIRST WORLD delivery from THIRD WORLD WORKERS which I applaud for their hardship in Enteng, Resiklo, Shake and SSSaklolo.

Can you not offer suggestions instead? I’m quite sure the good Senator and his advisers are mature enough to take the suggestions and consider change.

I have watched the movie too and it seems there are a lot of improvements in terms of CGI. There were technical shots that were somehow original. Like the fight scene between the robot and that big alien near the end of the film.(Kaso bitin) My daughter and nephew were hoping to see more robots in action by the way. (Kaso pati sila nabigo). I kind of liked the designs of the alien ships. The Recycle robots were also OK. I personally think the robots in resiklo didn’t resemble the robots from TRANSFORMERS like others would say. It kind of reminded me more of that Mech from ALIENS or Mech-warriors. I also remembered that 1990’s film RoboJax. I was looking for ICONIC Filipino images on the robots like those horses or “Plakards” seen on top of hoods of Jeepneys. Place recognizable items next time.

Though the Revilla sons/brothers were part of the cast, I did not see them as an annoyance in the film. they were actually surprisingly entertaining in a “Masa” point of view. (No offense to your comments, Muviman). BUT They lack an establishing sequence for the scene where they went out in those bulky cyber-armors. and who is that guy in the Yellow armor? Oh, by the way(again), if your pushing for a sequel, include those armors. the kids in my family wants to see them again, but please give them an establishing scene.

What bothered me much wasspotting signature shots that were obviously taken(ehem) or should I say inspirations from films such as STARWARS and Matrix. I know that the film is directed towards “Masa” crowd, but I find it quite un-necessary, because people such as Muviman(The heartless) and I were also part of your audience and we will always find it insulting. Just keep most of the narrative shots unique like some of the sequences.

The overall story is outrageous. I was hungry for a global perspective. What is so important about the Philippines? I could think of plenty of reasons. It would have been more acceptable if the reason was “WATER” and the Philippines being a great strategical “WAY-POINT” because of its location. I hope you make the change in the sequel.

I did not like the idea of making half-breeds that could teleport, pre-cognate and/or have over the top powers. That idea is soooo “Heroes” TV Series. I would rather not see them in the sequel. Powers give the characters a not so necessary edge in the conflict. The characters should have used their ingenuity nalang sana against alien technology. You guys should have maximized your claim in the concept: RECYCLING.

To the supporters of RESIKLO:

I also support your enthusiasm for the local film. I love the way the movie is showing potential in terms of CGI and technical narration.

Do not be affected by cold remarks made by people such as Muviman and myself. think of them as notes for consideration.

Pahabol.

I find the killings in the film disturbing. It was too graphic for kids. Maybe not if it were classified as an action film, but as a kids film, it totally raised a question mark and an exclamation point.

Transformers is a kids film(though it was very much appreciated by adults due to its nostalgic value). Where in the TF movie have you seen any graphic or violent human killing? O can sight just one: The Qatar desert run. It wasnt even graphic. It was a blur. The only slugfests were made by robots and not humans. Bumblebee vs Barricade, Prime vs Bone Crusher vs Megatron. Have you seen Sam vs Simmons? I dont think so. My point is, to qualify as a child friendly movie, the story of the human spirit should only be depicted with innocence and and non-graphic conflicts.

Regarding aliens and mutants:

There were more human villains than there were aliens. The mutants did not look menacing/dangerous. More aliens please.

Regarding Heroes:

You know there is something more appealing with women characters taking the lead aND KIDS BEING THE CENTER or the focus of the story and men being protectors in the background. After all, 95% of buying power of the population goes to women now a days. In the family, the men provides, but seldom decides what to do and
I would love to see the sequel to be more of a KIDS or a Tweener’s FILM rather than an action film.

Look for a new script writer. Hire MUVIMAN. But i guess he would rather spend his mornings and late night answering Resiklo Fan Blogs like me. Its a good thing i have my own company business to attend to get my income from.

uhh.. Raptor,

Take it easy. Criticisms are made by individuals who have their own definitions of freedom of speech and have plenty of free time. Its just sad that there are those who use criticism as a means to downgrade other free folk’s passions. One is not truthfully an advocate of freedom if the freedom of others is being scorned so freely by the so called advocate of free speech.

So far I have seen Enteng, Resiklo, SSsaklolo and shake. I would choose the second as the best and I hope Imus Improves more and be open for change.

Speak freely…
Seek truth…

Speak with the people..

Resiklo production,

I just found out that your movie is still forth in sales. you guys are probably sad with that info.

Question for you guys:

What is more important? No. 1 Block Buster or No. 1 in Film Quality?

The two aspects don’t really come together most of the time in Philippine Cinema. Look.. Shake got the third slot most probably because Regal booked around 3 cinemas per mall. I watched the movie and it sucked big time. I watched Enteng Kabisote on the first day at Megamall, but my intention was to watch Resiklo. Why? I had 4 choices of screening time for Enteng and just one choice for Resiklo. I chose EK4 over Rsklo thinking I would have time shopping and going to a theme park with the whole family later after watching. I think Resiklo started screening as late as 2pm. 2pm is not an ideal time 4 me. we usually go somewhere else like Toy Kingdom during that time.

If it were about quality, then you guys wouldn’t have trouble accepting 4rth place in sales. as far as I’m concerned, you guys get 4 stars out of 5 in film quality. SSSaklolo gets 3 stars. Enteng gets 2 stars. Katas gets 2 stars. Shake gets 1 star. Anak ng Kmomander gets half a star instead of zero because I like Ara.

Good Luck with the awards night.

MUVIMAN:Enough of those Effects, lets go to the storyline and meaning of the Title: Resiklo.

Tama ka. There is no such thing as Resiklo. Binastardong Salitang Ingles na “Recycle” yun. Gayun pa man, All words were made by men of literature. Remember your Philippine Literature subject in High School or college (But I guess you weren’t paying any attention with your heritage even though you claim to be Filipino). Most Filipino word were derived from foreign languages such as Spanish, Nippon, German, Indian Malay and yes, English. Ask your lolo and not your friends. They’re probably tired of listening to you complaining of everything all the time.

You morn for the P130 that you payed for to watch Resiklo? God. It’s either nabababaan ka sa Christmas bonus mo or you got fired from RIOT Productions or Imus Productions not so long ago.

Geez. Wake-up man. Stay home and watch your DVD’s.

At… marami pa.. heehehe.. ^_^ Happy New Year sa lahat!

Eh ano kung box office ang pelikulang banyaga, obvious naman sino bang gumawa ng unang pelikula di ba Amerika, sila mga pioneer, this is not about COMPETITION, oh who earns more pagdating sa rating o kita, it’s about ART, yung CREATIVENESS yan ang pinaguusapan dito.

Ngayon if you think na di ka nasatisfy sa panood mo well that is part of watching a film, kung baga sugal din yan, walang pinagkaiba sa gustong pumunta ng beerhouse maentertain and at the end naubos na yung pera wala pa din nangyayari.

Geez!

You guys have got to be kidding! What’s happening here?
It’s just a movie.

Conflicts are not good, especially when the topic is not worth the the argument.

(Sigh)…

Ok.

Kadyong Sikad,
Grow up and wake-up! It’s quite obvious that you’re part of this movie project and I can say that it must have been a tedious task , what ever you were assigned to work on. And it probably payed your bills and made your children happy… But accept the fact that you can never please all whom that exist and think. What’s important is that you guys did what you had to do in that span of production time.

Muviman,
Easy on the “EGO’ busting. Not all are willing to listen to reformation. Rejection is something that is feared by almost all men. It’s obvious that your “rejection” to a creation of what is considered by those who defend the film as “hard work” is unwanted or to them: bordering on “Insensitivity”.

I salute your cause for “change”… But the idea of “CHANGE’ will always be confronted by (yet again) REJECTION.

Reform/change + Rejectional confrontation = WAR

War is never great in my book. So, I will totally isolate myself from these arguments. Don’t make me enter a stupid debate regarding Pinoy film making. Surely, a waste of intellect or millions of years of human evolution.

LeBeau / January 3rd, 2008, 12:30 am / #

Transformers scam movie? I think its a combo of transformers action scenes and the matrix revolution robots. Though I commend their effort to make the movie look foreign. Filipinos are really good in making movies, such as crying ladies (good story, humour and witty). In the film festival, l personally hope that its not going to be a trend of MMFF or metro manila fantasya festival. Its a place where we make really good movies for the family.. sometimes it loses its substance. Im not saying fantasya is bad, the film festival showcases a balance of good production, good story, and good message.

Haayyyyy..I keep on checking this site and I am disappointed on KAPWA pinoys natin dito.

Look, why don’t you just see the movie and show support to our local industry than spreading the bad critiques? YOU JUST WANT ATTENTION and the Need to show Your BALLS that’s why you don’t recommend our own movies.

Let’s encourage our own people to watch our own films, para kumita naman ang ating mga pelikula instead discouraging them to watch because it lacks technical aspects. If we have critics, let us not published it publicly, send it directly to the production crew.

Our pinoy films needs support now..

Any comments?

Noel Flores / January 4th, 2008, 11:02 pm / #

Now-a-days, any body can claim the title, “Critic”. Especially in the electronic highway where identities are concealed and where idiosyncratic people play roles that they could not handle in a tangible world.

Gone are the days when critics have philosophical handles that they use to define a certain form offered by the artist.

A critic identifies the art or message in any creation and offers to define how it is perceived by the people.

Gone are the days when a critic appreciates all aspects of any creation, be it for art or for decoration or for entertainment.

A critic is supposed to be a judge of art. A judge determines the limits of ones actions and defines its place in the society POSITIVELY AND UNBIASED.

To criticize is not to down-grade. To criticize is to define with philosophy as a backbone.

Before you on and pretend that you are an authority of any art or industry and claim the right to critic, please equip your mind with academic handles and sociological backgrounds. Saying what one feels on a certain topic does not make one a critic.

I appreciate the movie for how it is defined by both the makers and the target viewers: A product of hard work by the makers and An entertainment material or fantastic escape for the masses.

Thanks for reading what I think.

Peace.

i think its a bold move for the Philippine movie industry to create such a movie. i heard its the most expensive so far in terms of productions. the graphic design and animation is the greatest i’ve seen so far in Philippine movies since i started watching movies. but what i didn’t liked about the movie are the choice of actors and costumes. i mean the movie wasn’t effective showcasing bong revilla and dingdong dantes as actors. and the costumes, well, pretty sucked. but i’m really looking forward to their next movie maybe next year. i know it will surpass this movie in terms of everything. and please, bong revilla.. stop starring in your own produced movies just so you’ll be part of history. the movie won’t really be effective if you’re in their. for Christ’s sake, your a senator!! :P

What I could ultimately say, this year, Resiklo is the most difficult movie to be developed and I truly apreciate the effort and resources spent to create a. I’m sure ths project gives a good return.

SALEM ZAHIRI / January 6th, 2008, 2:39 pm / #

I’m quite sure MUVIMAN is rolling his eyes and puking his guts all over, saying over and over words like, “What do you expect!?!”, “Eh, sinu ba yung mga Judges?!?” and “I’m not so proud being PINOY!” or “How idiot!”. So don’t be surprised guys.. He is that predictable being a self proclaimed Critic. Oooohh.. I’m humbled by his words. Sheeesh.. I’d rather listen to hot fart. there’s no difference.

Congrats to y’all!!

Kadyong Sikad / January 6th, 2008, 10:20 pm / #

Noel Flores / January 6th, 2008, 10:52 pm / #

well, i appreciate the movie. atleast may sense ito compare sa ibang movie. in terms of recycling… ^_^

Len / January 8th, 2008, 5:24 pm / #

sa mga nagsasabing this film was copied from transformers- hello…PUHLEEZ..it’s either hindi niyo napanood and transformers OR hindi niyo ginagamit UTAK niyo.. sorry ha…pero ‘transformers’ was about alien hi-technobots:one group protecting the earth, and another trying to take over it..
Resiklo is about humans defending earth USING man-made robots made of recycled stuff. Different concepts dude. Same genre..different cocepts. the story is defineitely original…kung may similairty man, i’ld say sa MATRIX baka meron pa (except they didn’t have recycled robots to fend off invaders, so iba pa rin..)

Sorry for not being here to comment for the past few days, i have been busy watching other movies, anyway,

Lebeu: Now-a-days, any body can claim the title, “Critic”. Especially in the electronic highway where identities are concealed and where idiosyncratic people play roles that they could not handle in a tangible world. Gone are the days when critics have philosophical handles that they use to define a certain form offered by the artist.

MUVIMAN: i remember the day when i puked at the table of cabalen, because of their dishes there, eat all you can, it supposedly be a kapampangan resto and i have a big respect and expectations for kapampangans because their dishes are excellent (the original kapampangan), but i never had that in cabalen, they produced foods in quantity not in quality, i really did talk to the manager about their food and i paid my entrance, around 200++ i think?

anyway, so much for this, i have to return in my paperworks, because i have to close my balancesheet from last year’s assets and liabilities thats why nxtime nko papatol sa mga tagapagtanggol ng recycled movie na to ha?

Lebeu, i salute you, and at the same time, im so sorry for bringing this movie down, kasi ang taas talaga ng expectation ko dito eh, but honestly, best picture sya to be compared to other movie entries to MMFF yun nga lang, for their declaration that they can be compared to other INTL. MOVIES, its far from reality talaga. next time i hope the casts and advertisers will be more humble for us “the critics” wont expect too much.

-MUVIMAN

“Us critics” should also be humble enough to respect the freedom of expression done by any citizen, be them actors or advertisers following any ideals.

We are no different form them asking respect for our so called freedom of expression.

As for my concern with the film industry, conceptual and creative change or creative revolution aside from technological advancement will eventually catch up with the Filipino style film making. We did so during the 1950’s but fell far away during the 90’s and hopefully, with the new breeds of this generation, given a few more movies produced, the known film matriarch erased from this world, quasi-political actor-producers become mature enough to wake-up and the “masa” becomes educated enough, we may yet see a globally competitive movie done by Filipinos for everyone to see and learn from. Including Critics and quasi-critics.

By the way, Congratulations for earning this Year’s title of Best Festival Film.

I suggest that this film company, Imus Productions, invest on research for psychographics and hire “REAL” or professional marketers/analysts to give you directions on what type of story or film to produce.

I hope that the next film will be great one.

be bold..

be true..

be free.

Peace.

Muviman,

Based on what I understand about criticism, if one is a critic therefore he is a judge of art. and when you are a Judge, you do not EXPECT anything. for when one predicts or expects something, therefore there is a limit of output to be made. It’s like looking for a fixed or a preferred formula of a particular concept and when an output falls short of the formula, the output is unacceptable. Are you sure you’re a “critic”? It looks like you are looking for a film that fits your formula. And having a limited set of formulas when looking at things is a show of biased and subjective taste. You are therefore not a neutral observer. You’re therefore a member of a certain segment in the population of viewers who were educated through mainstream Hollywood film making. A critic uses rationality and not emotional trigger points to judge a certain creation.

You edit statements from comments of other people in a way that will favor your words. A sign of manipulation to distort a thought is not fair and unethical.

You don’t have to ensure the viewers of this site that you are a qualified critic by saying that you are an employer checking balance sheets. It shows insecurity. And the sight if insecurity shows that you are not a good judge of things.

Really now, puking in a Resto because you were expecting a certain taste? When a restaurant offers a promotion like “Eat-all-you-can.” Consider the restaurant to be single star level. It’s not for Class A people like you. Its for the middle class(upper C) to eat in.

If you want to eat Class A food, hire a Chef.
If you want to see a Class A FILM of Hollywood standards don’t watch Filipino Films….. yet.

Critics you say? HaHaHa! Funny!

What kind of a person ridicules the laborers, middle class and the masses, the blood that keeps this country going, and claims to be a person of authority on works of hardship?

You guys are a bunch of narcistic wannnabe’s.

Dream on you pathetic looser!

lila / January 14th, 2008, 2:42 am / #

Hey.

Take it easy!

Stick to The site’s topic… but if you insist, go on ahead. You guys are entertaining to read. Ang bababaw ng mga EQ ninyo! Mapa critic o switik!
Hehehe.

Cheers!

Closing balancesheets from last year’s assets and liabilities? Ay sus! Wala nang maipagyabang! Go back home to your YAYA! Buy anything you want to give you confort. huhuhuhu…:(

Go Agimat! Este anu nga bang pelikula to?

Kadyong Sikad / January 15th, 2008, 1:00 am / #

Muviman,

Found your blog site… Sheesh.

What a stereo type llloooozzzer. Yeah, buy yourself a transformer from comic alley. All you guys do is beat your chests like gorillas and pee all over the place… Stinks of loozzerville… I love my penthouse in makati.. Hahaha… (Like what you say,… uh.. “How idiot.”) Say, “How idiotic!” or “What an idiot!”… Hahaha. You Critical moron. :))

lila / January 15th, 2008, 1:20 am / #

Lila and Kadyong… a certified bunch of affected high paid employee..

hahahaha!!!

MUVIMAN / January 15th, 2008, 9:41 pm / #

That’s your come back? You come up with an insult that supports your insecurity? That’s really validating!

Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! Woooh!!

Let it be known that MUVIMANGMANG has certified himself as an aristocratic wannabe BURGIS in the 21st century. Go look that up if your a real critique… But knowing burgis who are constantly in denial of being burgis, you would rather watch movies for comfort. You wouldn’t even have the strength to read socio-cultural oriented books written by Sionil Jose and Alice Guillermo and yet you claim, with the use of your limited words, you know Filipino and Hollywood film art. You wouldn’t dare look at Books that would describe people like you and the people you so constantly judge and ridicule. Critic you say? Dream on. What a sad life.

lila / January 16th, 2008, 12:27 pm / #

Like how old are you? 18? It figures. You pick on a pretty much SUCKED UP FILM and a bunch of movie fans , for thats the only type of work and people you can pick on.

Come on comment more! It’s entertainment for me.

lila / January 16th, 2008, 12:35 pm / #

Ang impact kasi pag ganyan, parang lower version of something. Kaya nawawalan ng gana manood ang ibang tao dahil parang nakita na nila yung better version niya so there’s no need to see something less. Although dahil bansa natin ito, it’s good to know na nagiimprove na sila kahit paano.

Ran, That is so true. Your comment is so short and precise. I hope Muviman reads you clear, too.

I don’t really have that luxury on time.

:(
